Yours truly was reappointed as Executive Director by the newly elected President Dr. Jerry Murillo and I accepted this position wholeheartedly. To all the alumni and Friends who had supported ASOCIMAI all these years, thank you once again. Some younger and not so young Alumni, your presence was a welcome sight and your willingness to serve and be actively involve with our association is indeed an inspiration for us, old guards, to continue to do the better always and to continue our legacy.
Our CME, as usual, was excellent and the speakers were superb; topics were very current and unsurpassed. I cannot let this pass without giving our gratitude to all of them and especially to their sponsors:
Dr. Arlene Tan Tieng Mom Dr.Fortunata Tan and dad Joseph Tieng
Dr. Rodney G. Coe Mom Dr. Teresita G. Coe and dad Peter Coe
Dr. Anthony Estrera Mom Marietta Estrera and dad Dr. Aaron Estrera
Dr. Francis Aguilar Mom Ruby M. Aguilar and dad Dr. Melchore Aguilar
Dr. Jerry Tan Dad Dr. Jesus Tan
Dr. Nelson Lim Bernardo my nephew who had been so generous to us all these years, and
someone who has never turned me down.
Dr. Jerry Murillo, our CME Coordinate, no word can describe the wonderful and excellent job you have done.
Thank YOU all. Daghang salamat!!
With new leaf turned in our organization, we decided to give a facelift to our website. We have a new look and we have decided to update ASOCIMAI web site, and also there will be more current news and tidbits which we will be posting to make ASOCIMAI worth visiting as often as we can!!
Next year, 2017, will be a milestone in the history of our Alma Mater, CIM, and ASOCIMAI. We are honoring our first batch of EMERALD Celebrants. Yes, indeed the class of 1962, the first batch to graduate, will be celebrating their 55th anniversary, and the biggest graduating class, batch of 1972, will be celebrating 45th year (Sapphire). I have already contacted some of the first graduates like Dr. Matilde Nemenzo Chaile and Dr. Manuel Gabato to notify all USA based classmates to attend the San Antonio reunion. I had gotten a very enthusiastic response from them. I hope this will also hold true for class 1972.
Hey guys we are not old, just a bit older!! (to be continued)
